Dignity Day 2008
Dignity Day 2008

Global Dignity Day 2008 is presently scheduled for Monday, October 20th, 2008, to be conducted worldwide, and on every continent.

In a day and time where there is so much conflict in the world (east and west at odds, Muslims and Christians at odds, conservatives and liberals at odds, etc), there is such a need for broad agreement on something unifying; something that encourages and even grows a sense of community. That something is (1) we all love our children, and (2) we all want dignity.

Global Dignity Day, 2008 builds upon the success of holding and hosting more than a dozen success Dignity Day events around the world, in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the United States, and proposes the one-day staging of aGlobal Dignity Day, from Jordan to Jerusalem, from Davos to D.C., from Paris to Pittsburgh, and from Hamburg to Harlem.

This is now a truly globalevent with over 60 YGLs signed up from more than 30 countries andspace...literally! With the participation of famed video game developer cum astronaut Richard Garriott, Global Dignity Day will be happening on and off the planet! In other words, thanks to Mr. Garriott we will now also have Global Dignity Day in Space on October 20th. Mr. Garriott will be circling our planet every 90 minutes, the only one able to witness every Dignity Day happening around the world, and able to send messages about Global Dignity back to earth, to the kids!

This event is a global demonstration of the inspirational and inclusive power of dignity.
